Peacock Soap in Column Mold

I live in one of the largest cities in America, which means that for most of my work life I have had a long commute. Something that made my commute bearable, was joining a Vanpool at my previous job. The concept is simple, a few people get together, rent a van, split the cost and then they take turns driving to work together. We had the added bonus that our company reimbursed us for the expense. I usually took naps during the commute, except when it was my turn to drive, of course.

One morning when I was driving the van into work, as I was about to enter the parking lot we noticed that something in the sky was coming down, close to us. It landed on the grass nearby. Low and behold, it was a peacock! Gabe, who was sitting out front, was as surprise as I was. Then he mentioned that it could be from a restaurant that had closed down recently. It turns out that there was a restaurant that had peacocks and other animals roaming around, sort of like lawn decoration. The restaurant went bankrupt or closed down for one reason or another and they left the animals inside. (So cruel) So the peacocks were flying out looking for food. Here’s an article I found about it.

More recently, I was driving on an errand through a neighborhood, and encountered several peacocks on the side of the road, both male and females. I filmed them and included this footage in the video below if you want to check it out.

When I made the Ghost Swirl Peacock last year, I decided I would do a color version of it as well some day. And I finally got to do it with this soap. Overall I think it was a fairly successful attempt, and I was happy with it. Below is what I used and the screen disc I 3d printed for it, which you can get here.
