Back in 2020 I shared a divider pine tree soap video that became one of the most watched videos in my channel during Christmas time. (The blog version is linked here.)
This soap is a version of that technique, but done in a cavity mold instead. Also, with a 3d printed divider instead of the DIY toilet paper roll.
Here is a video of the making and below the supplies I used.
Mold:
Fragrance:
- Crafter’s choice Balsam pine 1.20 oz + 0.80 oz Nature’s Garden Apples and oak (0.66 oz of this blend for each portion of soap. Soap batter is divided in three portions.
- This scent blend leans more towards a masculine soap or Christmas pine scent. You can use any other blend that behaves well.
Colorants
- for 14 oz of soap (1/3): 1/2 tsp Savage Garden green + 1/4 tsp green oxide
- for 14 oz: 1/2 tsp Synergy (next time I will use less or more white color instead)
- for 14 oz: 1/2 tsp Winter white

Safety Equipment:
Respirator (I use this when mixing the lye, I mix the lye in the window sill, window opened, with a pedestal fan blowing the fumes away, better yet, freeze your distilled water prior) I also try to wear long sleeves, pants and closed shoes. In my personal experience, most of my near misses (when I feel my skin itching or a slight burning sensation), or when I come contact with the soap batter, have happened when I am wiping down the containers, when I am almost done.
Facial Shield (I use either a facial shield or the goggles below)
