Ombré Tiger swirl Soap

Men Soap

I remember that when I was a kid, my brother had a girlfriend who was studying design or something that was art related.  It could have been a different person, but that is the most plausible explanation for now.  What I remember very well is the assignment she had completed, and she showed it to me.  It was a painted board with an ombré design.  She had painted it herself.  It was impressive and it had required a lot of time, patience and a steady hand.  She had started with white, and had painted a thin strip on top of just white paint.  Then to the white paint, she had added 1 drop of another color (it may have been blue), and after mixing this one drop, she had used the resulting paint to do another strip underneath the previous one.  Then she added another drop and repeated that over and over.  The first few layers still looked very white on their own, but once compared with the previous layer you could tell a difference, however subtle.  Because only one drop of color was added at the time, it resulted in a very smooth gradient, the ideal ombré effect.

In soap, I have seen several ombré effect soaps, and have attempted it once before myself, but few have that smooth gradient that would require slowly building up the colors, and also keeping the batter very fluid.  Personally I do not have the patience for it, so this was my best attempt.  One of the most popular videos with a gradient soap show a pour done while the mold is tilted.  I chose to try the tiger swirl instead as that seemed simpler.

I have a couple of these bars left if you want to check it out here.
