Geometric Soap – Color Blocking

I bought a fragrance that I thought (and I was not the only one) that it smelled like Play doh. The fragrance has since been discontinued, and I have actually found people who do like it and it smells sweet and almond like for them, but each nose is different!

I thought that it would be a great gift for small kids, so with that in mind, I chose bright colors and in a couple of the bars, even attempted a brick / lego like design.

It has been a few months since I made it and the play doh scent seems to have softened, but it is still there to me. My husband says it smells nice now and does not smell play doh anymore. (I do have a very sensitive nose though).

Here is what I used to make it and if you scroll down below you can find the video of the making:

Colorants

Fragrance

1 oz of Frosted Marzipan from Nurture Soap (this fragrance has been discontinued, and in my personal opinion, it smelled like play doh)

Mold

10″ Silicone loaf mold from BrambleBerry, but this one could work too.

Equipment

  • Divider. I made the divider with corrugated plastic , it might be cheaper to get it at your local hardware store or it can be free if you recycle a yard sign you no longer need. I used a hot glue gun* to glue the pieces together.
