Pina Colada Soap

Pina Colada Soap

I had the opportunity to visit Puerto Rico when my brother was studying there and we attended his graduation. Piña Coladas were very popular and could be found anywhere (even from some street vendors or food trucks). The non alcoholic version of course, and this soap reminded me of that.

By the way, I was taught to follow the recipe on the back of a Goya Cream of Coconut for Piña Colada, and it has been the best and easiest I have tasted (3 main ingredients: pineapple juice, vanilla ice cream and the cream of coconut, cherries on top are optional). Since this is essentially drinking ice cream, one small glass is all I can handle!

These bars smell very sweet and do remind me of a Caribbean vacation, you can find them in the store link above.

Embeds:

I used soap dough to make them and shaped them by hand. Pretty much I just shaped triangular thick slices, similar to pizza slices. For the pineapple ones, I put green soap dough on top and textured them with a pen. For the coconut ones, I made two slices, a brown and white one with the brown one being thinner. I stuck them together and then trimmed the edges with a knife. Then I also scraped the back with a pen to create the texture of the coconut shell.
