Cilantro is one of the herbs that can usually be found in my fridge, I like having it so that if the mood strikes for tacos, I am ready! By the way, putting the cilantro in a cup with water in the fridge; seems to help me keep them fresh the longest, with occasional water changes.
I was intrigued to know if cilantro could be used in soap, since the leaves seemed to leave a green tint on our plates. I did not find a lot of information online, but someone in a facebook group had tried it by adding it to the lye water and had gotten a pretty shade of green. While I did not get such a strong green color as they did , I am happy with the results as a first experiment.
I had this Citrus Cilantro fragrance already, and I thought it would go well with it.
Before I go on, I was surprised to learn that some people hated cilantro, much like I look suspiciously at anyone who does not like chocolate (my sister being one!). However, it seems it is not their fault. It turns out there is a genetic cause to that. Especially if you think that cilantro tastes like soap.
Unfortunately for me, I do not think this fragrance smells like cilantro. It has a citrus smell, but I cannot much detect cilantro.

- Oval cavity Molds from Nurture Soap for leftovers
- For embeds: Orance slices mold

Half a bunch of fresh cilantro sprigs

I made them with soap dough or soap clay, but they could be made with MP using a mold like the one listed above.
