Flower Celebration Soap

Flower soap on slab mold

I was excited to make this soap because it was my first party favors soap and also because the party was for my mom!

We usually hold small gatherings for birthdays, but this one we decided would be larger. My sister did most of the organizing, and all of my siblings were able to attend. (Even the one who lives in El Salvador!)

I chose the fragrance based on how much it would need (I usually buy 4-8 oz bottles of fragrance, unless I know I already like the fragrance). So the Lemongrass Verbena, of which I had a 16 oz bottle was ideal. It is also one of my favorite fragrances, despite the discoloration.

To keep it simple but still pretty, I decided to use Soap dough flowers as decorations. And to match the color of the decorations we will use, I chose Hollywood Pink Mica and purple galaxy mica (to make reference to the verbena flowers) as accent colors.
