Rose quartz soap

I made this soap last year, with the thought of including it in gift baskets for women. The fragrance (already discontinued now), was Parisian Classic from New Direction aromatics. The reviewers said it was a type of Chanel No. 5. Not owning that perfume my self, I could not tell if that was true, but I can tell you the fragrance was feminine without being overly sweet or floral. It was a strong fragrance though.

Often I try to design the soap around the fragrance, so I decided I would include ingredients that would make this feel luxurious, like tussah silk and kaolin clay for smoothness. And soap rose quartz for decoration, along with a gold mica drizzle.

While I do not have any more in stock, I do have some of the same fragrance still, so I will be taking custom orders for this soap if you would like one.

Colorants and additives:

  • 1 teaspoon of Hollywood Pink Mica (I mixed the clay and mica in about 4 tablespoons of water a few hours ahead)
  • 3 tablespoons Kaolin clay (Optional)
  • Tussah Silk fiber (I added about 1″ piece into the lye water solution while hot.
  • Gold mica mixed in oil (Used Brambleberry brand) (About 1/2 teaspoon in 1 tablespoon of olive oil)
