Snow Globe Soap

This is my second attempt at a snow globe soap. My first ones were made primarily with clear melt and pour and a cold process snowman. These ones are entirely cold process. However, I did experiment adding clear melt and pour to a couple of them.

I really like how they came out, despite the blue being darker than I wanted it. Eventually the darker blue grew on me and I figured it made a better contrast with the white “snow” effect, that was mainly chopped white soap sprinkled with glitter (I could not really see the glitter in the final soap though).

I have a more ambitious plan for next year soaps, I experimented the technique and got the below. However, they require some molds I currently do not have, I have put them in my Christmas gift wish list though, so who knows….

Recipe

Here is a link to the recipe: Words of advice: I would use less black pigment, and less ultramarine blue, perhaps only 2 teaspoons. Ultramarine blue pigment and the black pigment tend to clump, so I usually disperse it in oil prior in a small container, and with a silicone icing spatula, I try to break down the clumps. (or you could follow Tree Marie Soapworks method, in which she uses a palette knife to do this.
