Last week someone in one of the Facebook groups I belong to asked if anyone made embeds. I replied asking what she had in mind. She said fruit and gum balls type of spheres. I told her I could give it a try with soap dough and send send her pictures.
I have been meaning to make peaches with soap dough so that I could make soap using a fragrance that it’s supposed to smell like maple and southern peaches. So, this was a good opportunity to get started with that. I figured she would want to see more than peaches, so I tried my hands at bananas, grapes and strawberries too.
I often find that doing something for someone else usually pushes me to attempt something I would have otherwise skipped. I have seen miniature fruit before and though I found it cute, I never thought of making it, but this has now opened my possibilities.
I thought, even if she does not buy them, I also have a fragrance that smells like fruit (monkey farts, which was not my favorite), so I can put all the fruits on top of it. Who knows, maybe veggies are next? For a gardening theme soap? Who knows!
